Motivd uses Supabase Realtime on tables that power the shell experience: projects, stars, agent sessions, and messages. When you star a project on your laptop, your phone’s sidebar reflects it without a manual refresh.
Workspace chat benefits the same way. Multiple tabs or teammates watching a session see new messages as they land, which makes pair debugging and async handoffs feel closer to a shared IDE than a static transcript.
Realtime is scoped with Row Level Security so users only receive events for data they are allowed to read. It is part of how we keep the builder fast without opening a firehose of cross-tenant updates.
